Zune users have been able to sync their music and videos over Wi-Fi for years now — not so for patrons of the iPhone or iPod Touch, which can only sync up files via USB tethering. That said, an enterprising developer is looking to change the game when it comes to wireless iPhone and/or iPod Touch syncing … if Apple will let him, that is. Full Story;

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to a BlackBerry? For me, it’s Research In Motion’s iconic QWERTY keypad, or at the very least the modified “SureType” keyboard, which crams a couple of letter keys on each number key. So it’s a little jarring to get a load of RIM’s new, pumped-up Pearl 3G — the first BlackBerry ever with a standard alphanumeric keypad, same as on many garden-variety cell phones. Full Story;

The actual release date for the 3G-embedded version of the iPad is still a bit hazy, but at least the online Apple store is now showing a firm shipping date for new orders: by May 7. Apple’s original time frame was “late April,” and at least some iPad 3G pre-order customers are still being told to expect their tablets before the month is out. Full Story;

The ambitiously named Incredible doesn’t quite scale the heights of HTC’s recently announced Evo 4G (or at least on paper it doesn’t), but hey — it still looks impressive in its own right. (Maybe “HTC Impressive” would have been a better name?) Full Story;

The past several months have seen a series of setbacks for Palm: disappointingly slow sales of the Pre and Pixi on Verizon Wireless, serious revenue shortfalls, rumors the company might be sold, analysts calling Palm’s stock worthless. Does Palm have a future? Yes, insists CEO Jon Rubinstein in a recent interview, although he admits that the smartphone maker has “hit a speed bump.” Full Story;

Just hours after the iPad went on sale Saturday, some early adopters were already complaining of spotty Wi-Fi reception on their glossy new tablets, while others (including yours truly) struggled to make sense of the iPad’s picky USB charging needs. Also a problem: lots and lots of iPad app crashes. Full Story;

Well, it looks like at least someone wants the iPad. A crowd of several hundred lined up outside Apple’s flagship “cube” store on Fifth Avenue for a chance to snag the new tablet Saturday, with scores of other line-sitters waiting their turn at Apple Stores from Pasadena, California, to Knoxville, Tennessee. No, the lines weren’t as long as those we’d seen (and experienced) for the iPhone in previous years, but apparently they were no less enthusiastic, and so far, at least, no train wrecks. Full Story;
